A little boy does not like all the attention that his new baby sister is getting, so he decides he is going to get rid of her. Nobody seems to want the baby, but the little boy is determined. Eventually he comes to see that the new baby isn’t so bad after all. The story is good to read for children experiencing jealousy towards new siblings or to prepare children who are about to be new siblings. The story is humorous and very simple for children of young ages. The illustrations look a little dated, but overall the story is good. ( ) This is a cute story about Oliver and his new baby sister. He is not happy about having a baby sister and tries to get rid of her by trying to get many different people to take her. His friend Toby's mom takes her, but she is only trouble for them. They cannot figure out what is wrong with the baby until Oliver comes back. They realize that the baby only wants Oliver! Oliver then learns that having a baby sister is not all that bad. This book can be read to children who have a new brother or sister to teach them about acceptance of their new sibling. The story was quite comical because he just dumps his baby sister off and leaves! I could never imagine a child doing this and where are the parents when all of this is happening? But overall, loved the story and the illustrations! Nobody Asked Me If I Wanted a Baby Sister is about an adorable young boy named Oliver who doesn't like his little sister. His mom is awed by his sisters' chubby face and blue eyes so he decided that was enough and he tried to find anyone who would take her. He asked several random people on the street and then finally he got a taker. The little boy who was given the baby took it home to his mother and the little sister would not stop crying. They tried to change her and feed her but it wouldn't budge. Finally they realized she just wanted her brother. They gave it back to Oliver to hold and she stopped crying. Oliver realized he could love his sister and maybe they can play horse and wagon together. Oliver also realizes that maybe having a sister won't be a bad thing. He becomes accepting of his sister and thinks of fun things they could do together. I believe many kids can relate to this. I'm the oldest so I do have 2 younger brothers. I know I was excited each time my mom was pregnant that every time we had show and tell I would raise my hand and say "I'm going to be a big sister!!!!" But, once they were born and they got all the attention I was upset. You eventually begin to love them when they are older and the book shows that. Oliver begins to think things his little sister can do for him. The illustrations in the book are adorable and fit just right. I really enjoyed this book and I know kids will as well. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
