Allows for kids to explain what they think is going on; class involvement. ( ) This ingenious picture history traces an English villiage from its beginnings in medieval times up to the modern day. The pictures take up two facing pages with a half-page in-between, that carries on the story, which is wordless. The beautiful watercolor paintings have a LOT of detail. This is a book for grade-schoolers and up - not for preschool kids. KRYSTAL: This book has no words, just illustrations that show the transformation of a main street in England from medieval times to the present. This would be difficult for younger children to interpret, but would be great for inferring with older kids who have some historical background. It would also be interesting to have them write a description of the book and note all that one could learn from looking at just illustrations with no words. The front jacket flap would be invaluable, however, as it gives a nice overview of t he book. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
