I love the Little Red Hen, a great lesson for life. I named our homeschool after the little red hen since the only way our children were going to get a good education in this town was if we did it ourselves.

Little Red Hen found a grain of wheat. She wondered who would plant it but the cat, goose and rat didn't want to, so she did. The grain grew, but the cat and the goose and the rat would not help cut it, thresh it, or carry it to the mill, nor did they help with baking. Howewer when the bread was done they were ready to eat it. But little red hen called her chicks and they ate up all the bread.
