A real mix of stories, some that lean more towards horror, a few that are more suspense. Stand-outs include "Side Bet' by Will F. Jenkins about a shipwreck survivor who finds that a very large and hungry rat is his only company. The most chilling story is "The Cocoon" by John B.L. Goodwin, about a little serial killer in the making who finds that he messed with the wrong moth. ( ) This book was OK. It's dated. What was suspenseful in the 60s is not so much today. It was a good read if you as the reader can take yourself back into a time machine and pretend that you are a late 60s person or early 70s person. Kind of makes me wonder what Alfred Hitchcock would be producing if he were in today's time. This book is a series of short stories created to give you the heebee-jeebees. Sort of a horror inflicted twilight zone. A good read but certainly not on the level of a Stephen King where you don't want to turn off the lights at night. I would recommend it if you had nothing else to read that was of more interest. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
