Her name's Allie Bateman, and she claims she's the owner of the Dragonfly, the charter fishing boat that belongs to Cooper Remington. He isn't about to be swindled out of his inheritance...even if she is the most alluring first mate ever to hit the high seas! Everything was smooth sailing until the sexy East Coast lawyer showed up. Allie can't believe she agreed to be temporary partners--must be the salt air. It can't be the irresistible charms of Cooper, a man she knows better than to trust. So why's her heart telling her she and Cooper would make a great team--on the water and off? Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |

This was a fun and enjoyable read. Allie was an extremely likable heroine. She was a bit of a tomboy, more interested in working on the boat in shorts with her hair tied up. I liked her determination to keep the business going and her loyalty to Johnny. I also liked hero Cooper, though, at first he sometimes got on my nerves. He had a girlfriend/fiancée (Heather) in the past who stole nearly a quarter of a million from him…she was using his credit cards, bank account, even stole from his parents and denied it, and then disappeared. So now Cooper is very suspicious of women/Allie and he thinks she was trying to swindle Uncle Johnny to get his boat. But the more time Cooper spends with Allie, the more he realizes he’s wrong and how honest and nice she is.
This was a sweet romance and I liked how everything worked out in the end. I enjoyed the charter boat setting and the lovely (fictitious) town of Port Clara, Texas. ( )
