Lucille's older brother and sister are about to leave on a camping trip with their father. Lucille is to young to attend and she believes this is not fair. When they leave her mother offers her many things to do to try to cheer Lucille up. She offers her like try on makeup, email grandma and even make cookies but none of these things seem to help Lucille. Lucille then discovered that she could have her own camping trip with her mom in their living room. They slept in a tent with sleeping bags, roasted marshmallows and even looked at the moon and stars. When the others arrive back from their trip, her father tells her next year she will be old enough to go with them. Lucille responds with a smile, "maybe". This is the first book I have read by this author and my impression from this book is she is very descriptive and includes dialogue during the story. The illustrations are very colorful and help tell the emotions of the characters in the story. This book can teach children that you can make a disappointing situation into a happy and rewarding situation. ( ) Lucille's older brother and sister are going on a camping trip with their father, but she is too young to go. At first, she is really upset about the situation and says that it was "No fair!" Her father gives her his flashlight to keep while he is away, but she becomes sad once again. After they were gone, her mother tried varies things to get it off her mind. Nothing worked. She eventually took a nap and dreamed of camping with her dad. When she awoke, she had an idea to camp inside since she couldn't go camping outdoors. She created her own tent from her bedspread and roasted marshmallows by the fireplace with her mother. They had a great night camping inside and she realized that it was just enough or even better than going camping outdoors. She might be old enough to go next year, but I think she will be content with having another indoor camping night at home. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
