It seems very unlikely that Arthur Japin ever wrote this book, since even his own website www.arthurjapin.nl doesn't mention it. The title seems derived from the Dutch translation of Giacomo Casanova's Histoire de ma vie. Japin wrote a book with Casanova as one of the main characters - Een schitterend gebrek.
Giacomo Casanova; de geschiedenis van mijn levenis a selection of texts from Casanova's memoirs, edited by Arthur Japin and translated by Theo Kars. See Worldcat. Do not combine with Casanova or El primer amor de Casanova, both of which are translations of Japin's original work Een schitterend gebrek.
