Once again Jeeves, butler to Bertram Wooster, proves himself to be a paragon of domestic service. Not only must Jeeves keep Bertie’s household in order, he must also bring order out of the chaos that Bertie stirs up among his friends and relations. Jeeves’s matchmaking ability is put to the test at a house party given by Bertie’s Aunt Dahlia at Brinkley Court. Bertie’s friend Gussie Fink-Nottle has fallen hopelessly in love with Madeline Bassett but can’t find the courage to talk to her. A rift has developed between Bertie’s cousin Angela and her fiancé, Tuppy Glossop. Further complicating matters, Aunt Dahlia is in dire financial straits and the household’s French chef is ready to hand in his notice. Jeeves has his work cut out for him! The audio version read by Jonathan Cecil is delightful and adds to the novel’s humor. ( ) aucune critique | ajouter une critique
