Felt like I read the best of his books already. OK so knowing Laymon sad endings are inevitable. But this one surprised me. The story was the usual like most of his other books so I wont divulge into that. Just thinking where he gets his creativity from creating his character for his monsters/aliens or whatever they are. Gore is ok and lust/erotic is very mellow on this book. I was a bit in suspense with the last chapter just waiting for something to happen to Allison. What if this thing laid an egg in her and comes out bursting from her back or she ends up killing Jake and Kimmy. That never happened which caught me by surprise. The book is ok so if you a fan of Laymon then its a must read.

No one in town has ever seen anything like it; a slimy, mobile tube of glistening yellow flesh with dull, staring eyes and an obscene, probing mouth. But the real horror is not what it looks like, or what it does when it invades your flesh - but what it makes you do to others. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |

I've yet to come across a Richard Laymon novel that I didn't enjoy and this was no exception. Very enjoyable.
