It has no plot or characters which can be boring. But it does go into explaining Red lights and green lights. It also explains different types of homes. Not my favorite story by Margaret Wise Brown. When I teach this book most likely will not make it on my shelves in my personal classroom library. ( ) In my opinion, Red Light, Green Light by Margaret Wise Brown is for very young, emergent or beginning readers. The big idea is to teach children about different colors and transportation types. There are minimal words on each page, with short repetitive sentences. For example, “In the morning they all came out of their houses. Red Light they can’t go. Green Light they can go.” The illustrations are a bit dated, but still very pretty to look at. They enhance the story by only using colors that are red or green. The illustrations also teach children what different transportation and homes looks like. There are not any descriptive characters, only a boy or a dog. There is no plot, which makes it boring and feels as if it is dragging on. Overall, the book is okay for young children being introduced to books, but not for students looking for action or adventure! Slightly random book about traffic lights and people, vehicles and animals who leave their various homes (named) and travel around until they return back to where they started from (named again so children can repeat them). Cute. Golden MacDonald is a pseudonym for Margaret Wise Brown, who did several books with Leonard Weisgard. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
