That was a great read. Full of action, suspense, war, history, religious fervor, life, death and throughout it all a mystery that was truly surprising and suspenseful, “Knights of the Cross” by Tom Harper was genuinely engaging and pleasurable. Yes, the war scenes lacked the carnal meat of other authors and there was a blatant error in the timeline that annoyed the heck out of me. Even so, Mr. Harper’s historical accuracy and his suave fluidic storytelling aptitude was a delight. Mr. Harper is an author I will definitely look for while perusing the shelves at my next visit to the bookshop. ( )

Murder, pagan rites, all lead Demetrios Askiates in hunt of a murder. Battles rage and Demetrios, a Greek Cursade must fight for Christ and find the person or persons responsible for the killing of three people. ( )
