It took me forever to finish this book. When I first started reading this series I thought it was promising, but now at the end I think the author should have stuck to history (his forte) and left the romance with those who can really turn actions into epics... But I'll give the author one thing the epilogue of the series was really touching. ( )
This book is the third in a trilogy of stories using the life of Alexander the Great as a base. Given that Alexander is one of the most intereting and compelling figures in ancient history, I would have expected more. Whether the problem is with the original narrative or with the translation into English, the writing is choppy, and the character development is nonexistent. Not recommended. ( )
