J'ai découvert Le Carré très très tard, au moment où il commençait même à être démodé et dépassé, la fin de la guerre froide ayant infligé un sérieux coup de vieux à ses agents doubles, triples, quadruples, mais très attachants. On sent l'homme sentimental sous John, c'est pour cela que je l'aime. Sauf son dernier, la constance du jardinier, où son ingerence dans l'humanitaire et les impitoyables multinationales n'était pas très convaincant.
