This continued the story from the first book. It was an interesting middle book in a trilogy, usually middle books feel like filler, but it actually had some plot developments that I enjoyed. It continued to be gory and almost splatterpunk-ish, which was refreshing in a Stine novel. I'm looking forward to finishing out this series as it continues to be one of Stine's best. ( )

This book started out promising. You'll definitely need to read the first of the trilogy before this one. I liked the idea of Robin Fear returning to the story with Meghan. Robin put an immortality spell on both he and Meghan and they still look like teenagers even 60 years after the groundbreaking of the park. I didn't like the Deidre storyline and liked the Jared-and-his-buddies plotline even less. I found myself really more interested in Robin and Meghan than Robin's vain attempts at sabotaging the reopening of the amusement park. This second book was very difficult for me to finish. I really liked the first but this one is just "meh." I think I will take a break from the trilogy before I try and make it through the last book. ( )
