I particularly loved the sketches that accompanied the quotes. ( ) This book contains sampling from various works by author C.S. Lewis. The thread tying them together is faith, here meaning the Christian religion. Lewis talks about such varied topics as heaven and hell, prayer, morals/virtues, etc. Unlike the other two books in this series I read, this one is definitely a lot more of 'what you see is what you get.' It purports to be about religion and it is. However, since I am not religious myself, I am clearly not the target audience and my personal rating is quite low as a result. Others might get a lot more out of this than I did though. The book does contain a very brief biography of C.S. Lewis and some family photographs. It also contains reproductions of many famous works arts, mostly notably a lot by William Blake, but other well-known artists are also represented, such as Sandro Botticelli and Hieronymus Bosch. Indeed, the whole production of the book presents as a very beautiful work. The textual content just may not be for everyone. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
