Although, I have never read anything from these authors, I feel now that they each have let me into their lives, I know them.
I will definitely be looking fro book from these brilliant writers.
There is not one story that stands out for me, but there is not one story that I didn't love.
All ten, told us a story from what they remembered it to be like. Told it with their heart and told it bluntly. Reading these brought some of my own memories to the surface.
A wonderful collection of short stories by notable children's book authors (though I have to admit that I am unfamiliar with all of the authors featured in this volume). In the course of reading this book I laugh, cried, and empathized with these writers. Truly the best two hours of reading I've had in a long time. ( )
