Binchy est une excellente conteuse - toutes ses histoires ne sont pas équivalentes : certaines sont un peu mièvres ou prévisibles, mais dans l'ensemble, elles sont agréables à lire, engageantes et parfois même émouvantes. À lire à Noël, lorsque les émotions sont un peu plus fortes et les relations familiales souvent plus intenses. ( )
