I love eating well, but healthier. I do not desire as much takeout food when the food at home is tasty. I love finding less caloric ways to make my favorite meals. The book is easy to read. The photos are attractive. I will refer back to this from time to time to learn more about how to eat a better diet. ( ) I am actually surprised to find out what's really in my food after reading this book. One of the most unbelievable things was that a regular order of Five Guys Fries was a major health bomb, with tons of sodium and unhealthy fats. By reading this I have found very shocking facts about the foods that I eat. Did you also know that a half rack of ribs at TGIF"s will cost you 2 days worth of your daily sodium and calorie intake? I learned that if you think you're being healthy by ordering some of the salad options at restaurants, more often than not, you're better off eating a Big Mac. I don't think the author is advocating you eat fast food, I just think he is offering a guide on what to look for if you do find yourself eating out. The biggest shocker for me was the over 1,000 calorie turkey sandwich at Panera. I always thought I was making a wise decision by going to Panera vs. other fast food choices. Of course I usually get the veggie sandwich on sourdough which is way less calories than the Asiago bread sandwiches. Also helpful to know is that SmartStart cereal (which claims to be a healthy cereal) has more calories and sugar than Fruit Loops. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
