Niki Daly writes about a young boy who goes on a trip to the beach with his parents. Readers will see his wonderful imagination work wonders! The boy seems to have a blast! He plays in the waves, runs through the sand and even finds an abandoned boat further down the beach. When the boy’s imagination gets the best of him, a lifeguard comes to the rescue and reunites the young boy with his parents. I really like how Niki Daly creates such diverse books. Each book is so different than the other and includes characters of many different cultures and backgrounds. This book in particular includes characters of different ages, genders, colors, and cultures. Readers will see this mostly through the illustrations. ( )
