They were both lighthearted and touching and perfect to get you in the Christmas Spirit. They were both short, easy reads! I believe that both stories really has great character development and story lines that kept you interested and involved and rooting for the main character! They were both charming stories with great but realistic romance. If you looking for a breathe of fresh air and something to get you in the Christmas spirit, then look no further! In this two story novel from Debbie Macomber, the reader is treated to a Christmas story and a feel-good story that is enjoyable at any time of the year (although threw me a little since I was expecting another Christmas themed tale). "Christmas Letters" is about Katherine and Wynn. Wynn is a psychologist who wrote a best-selling book on child rearing that Katherine's sister just loves. Katherine wants to prove Wynn's theories wrong, but as they spend time together they have trouble ignoring the attraction and their different views regarding children. "Rainy Day Kisses" follows the romance of Susannah and Nate. Susannah is a dedicated business woman and Nate is a seemingly jobless man. Yet, when Nate helps Susannah while she's babysitting her infant niece, sparks fly. But can they overcome their differences when it comes to careers and family? I enjoyed both stories, but found "Rainy Day Kisses" to be more satisfying. "Christmas Letters" seemed too convenient. The love just happened, and the romance part just didn't feel explained enough for me. It's a short story (about 200 pages), so if it was lengthened a little and the emotions explored more, I think it would probably work better. "Rainy Day Kisses" was written years ago and updated and fixed up a little for this publication and therefore feels more complete. The stories are pretty typical for Ms. Macomber's work and are overall a good holiday read. http://www.romancing-the-book.com/2007/12/jens-review-christmas-wishes-by-debbie... aucune critique | ajouter une critique

HTML: CHRISTMAS LETTERS is "a fine companion to a glass of eggnog."â??Publishers Weekly Katherine O'Connor (known as K.O.) adores her five-year-old twin niecesâ??and strongly objects to her sister's plans to dispense with Christmas. Zelda is following the theories of child psychologist Wynn Jeffries, author of The Free Child (and, as it happens, K.O.'s neighbor). K.O. is particularly horrified by his edict to "bury Santa under the sleigh," and she's out to prove that Wynn and his ideas are full of...snow. He's not going to ruin her nieces' Christmas! Too bad the guy's so darned attractive.... RAINY DAY KISSES is a delightful romantic comedy at Christmasâ??or any other time of year! Seventeen years ago Susannah Simmons was a career girl who knew nothing about babies. But after babysitting her infant niece, Michelle, Susannah learned that one determinedâ??and screamingâ??baby can make the corporate world look like...child's play. Thank goodness for her charming neighbor Nate Townsend. Now he's her charming husband, and Susannah's a mother as well as an aunt. And every Christmas Eve, Michelle tells her cousins how their mom met their dadâ??a story in which she plays a s Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
