Seashores, snow-capped mountains, old-growth forests, and visitor-friendly cities have made the Pacific Northwest one of the most popular RV and tent-camping destinations in North America, and this guide directs the way to more than 130 camping destinations throughout Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia. Combining the functions of a camp directory and a sightseeing guide, each of the expanded number of entries describes a vacation spot and its attractions and recommends good camping in the area, including both privately owned and state and county campgrounds. Updated, detailed maps of each destination show the location of campgrounds and tourist sites, as well as exact routes for drivers of large RVs. Several one-week itineraries from the gateway cities of Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver provide alternate driving adventures on scenic routes throughout the region.… (plus d'informations)

RV camping comes first in the title and in the text. Although the authors give much information which is useful to car campers, it is sometimes discouraging to try to find it amidst all the entries for RV parks. If you want to know whether your monstrous houseboat of a motorhome or your fifth wheel will fit into a park, this book is what you need. It gives measurements of campsites, e.g. "sites are back-ins and pull-throughs to 60 feet", to help your calculations. If you want to know how to avoid one of these things pulling in next to your tiny tent and turning on its television, air conditioning, and generator, you may have to read between the lines.
