Phyllis Root really does a great job with engaging the reader in the book. Even though it was a children's book, I constantly wanted to know if Annalisa was going to do what she needed to do. Will Hillenbrand (illustrator) did a great job with illustrating the pictures. He drew the cow really big to emphasize how big cows are, he had each page pertaining to exactly what was on that page. Just like Toot Toot Zoom!, the ending was a happy ending. I have noticed that the books are very suspenseful throughout the entire book and then the ending is what everyone hoped would happen. ( ) Annalisa always wanted to do what mama May did for her and all her siblings. When she was curious about something she had to do it. Very stubborn and strong willed. The same thing goes as if she didn’t want to do something she wouldn’t do it. Annalisa had to find out what it was like to milk the cow even if her mother told her not to. She watched closely and followed through with everything her mother did except kiss the cow. She did not want to such thing so she didn’t. Even though this effected everyone in the family it didn’t seem to bother her in the beginning. Annalisa learns that sometimes things aren’t as bad as you think they are. I think this is a good lesson for kids because you never know what you’ll like until you try it. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
