This book is great for young students learning how to share and learn about interactive teaching. This book is about a rabbit finding turnips for winter and deciding which path to take. I would recommend this book to any child or teacher wanting to have their kids get out of their seat and have fun. ( ) This book tells the charming tale of woodland animals who care for one another. Rabbit thinks of Donkey all alone on the hill, and brings him a turnip, leaving it by the door. Donkey finds it, but thinks of Goat, and passes on the turnip at Goat's doorstep. Goat passes it on to Deer, but Deer isn't there either. When Deer gets home and finds it, he then thinks of Rabbit, and the turnip goes back full circle, completing an endearing story of compassion for the well-being of others. Lines of the story repeat with each character almost stepping on the turnip and each characters' footsteps disappearing in the falling snow. Crisp, yet dreamy and flowing illustrations of winter scenes are rendered with acrylic paints on paper. Rabbit's Gift by George Shannon is an endearing story about a rabbit who finds a turnip just as winter is coming. Miraculously, the rabbit finds a second turnip. In a wonderful act of generosity, the rabbit decides to give the extra turnip to the donkey. The donkey in turn decides to give the turnip to the goat, who also passes the turnip on. This is a wonderful display of the powers of generosity and friendship and caring for others that is a great lesson to teach young children. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
