HTML: This exciting tale combines elements of classic adventure with themes of religion, reverence, and tolerance. The 'oak openings' of the title are the wooded prairies of Michigan, where the peaceful camaraderie between white frontiersmen and Native Americans is tested when the War of 1812 breaks out. Will these friendships survive the conflict? Is co-existence possible? Read Oak Openings to find out how the uneasy truce fares. .Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |

1. I’ve been a J. F. Cooper fan for many years, so it’s not surprising that I quite enjoyed this tale.
2. I live in Michigan, which is where the tale takes place, so this also won me over.
3. There is a strong evangelical Christian backstory in this tale, and being an evangelical Christian, I liked the way this part of the story was presented. ( )
