It would be a great book to read to younger students because the language was simple yet relatable. I also liked that the plot was very easy to follow. There was puppy that claimed, “There’s nothing to do!” His parents told him to start a Nothing-to-Do Club and when he went to ask people (animals) to join his club they told him they couldn’t for various reasons. For example, the turtle says, “I am making mud pies. Would you like to help?” Each animal he comes in contact with says no but invites him to participate in whatever activity they are participating in. At the end oft the book, the puppy’s dad asks if he found someone to join his club. The puppy and says “No, But I have something to do now.” The illustrations were concise and easy to interpret. The message of the book is that there is always something to do. I would use this book to encourage my students to talk to others if they ever feel “bored” so they can branch out and have new experiences. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

I like this book because it teaches children you can always have something to do.
I would recommend this book for younger elementary students to teach them that they can always be active.
