In my opinion, this book was 160 pages of buildup for a 20 page climax. So much of this book was dedicated to setting up what would happen and getting into who the characters were, but it got old after a while. It was just too much. The title is definitely misleading because very little of the book has anything to do with a missing girl at all. It took me ages to get into the story and the characters. I only continued to read because I knew that eventually something *should* happen based on the title. If I had known it would take 2/3 of the book, I would have left it on the shelf. ( ) Teen fiction; suspense. Short chapters and a suspense-filled storyline (especially the last half of the book) should make this a fast read. The story revolves around 5 sisters (ages 11 through nearly 18) and a mysterious stranger with a criminal past. Readalikes: 13 reasons why. To be honest, I really wanted to quit this book about halfway through. But a friend of mine encouraged me to finish it and so I did and it did in fact get better, but that's about the nicest thing I can say about it. The book is from various viewpoints which I find intriguing in other books but in this book not so much, as one of the viewpoints was from the youngest sister and every time I came upon a chapter from her I cringed. The way in which she spoke was very annoying and took away from the story. Additionally, the ending was anticlimactic and somewhat expected. This was just an okay book. It doesn't make me want to read anything else from this author. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
