Book 1 The Ebon Mask
This book was mostly a setup for the other 2 books. This book is very much into the Death is not fun genre. Many quest books you know your protagonist survives until their usefulness is done, well in a wraith story 'survive' has a whole new meaning.
Book 2 The Onyx Tower
Book 2 starts off with a bang. One of the biggest things you need to know about a Wraith story is things can ALWAYS get worse, and if your resourceful enough you can probably make things work out for you when your enemies backs are turned.
Book 3 The Obsidian Blade
The 3rd and final book in the Dark Kingdoms trilogy. Once again the story gets gruesome and the death-toll mounts to huge numbers. The slaughter is almost outrageous. The story holds together fairly well but when one stops to think about it the characters and their actions seem unbelievable, and somethings that were accomplished are a little far fetched. Overall an OK book. ( )
