It was very sweet, but also pretty predictable and my goodness Suzanna, we know he hurt you but #NotAllMen.
Megan's story is a bonus edition, almost an epilogue where the Other Woman that Suzanna's husband cheated with is Suzanna's sister's new husband Sloan's sister, Megan. Did you get that? Ok, because it's super likely that these two families from entirely different sides of the country would happen to get together in such a coincidental way! But, hey, romance novels, huh? Anyway, Suzanna's a big enough person to welcome Megan and Megan's kid (Suzanna's kids' half-sibling) to the family. Because she's the Bigger Person. Did you get that? Very Big Person. Also, for whatever reason, all 4 of the five of these stories are the kind where the hero and heroine bicker their way into bed and it's generally the dude proving to the prickly woman that he's good enough. I don't know any dudes who spend that amount of effort winning over the Bitch. It's been my experience that you catch more flies with honey and whatnot. But, then again, romance novels aren't supposed to be terribly realistic, right? ( )
