Just not right for this adult; might be really educational and rather fun for children, though. This is a great book for anyone who wants to know all there is about elements that are in the periodic table. Keep in mind though, the book doesn't talk about all the elements but does touch on 60 plus elements that are considered more common. This book is broken down into pages where each element is introduced and talked about, even represented by an anime-style character. They talk specifically about the element's symbol, atomic number, weight, color, standard state, and classifications. They even go so far as to talk about its qualities and uses, when it was first discovered, what its first known use was, density, melting, and boiling point. This information was great and made it more interesting than simply looking at the periodic table, which was also available as a foldout in the book. I loved this because it made it more interesting to read. It is also great for visual learners with nice illustrations. It was a fun way to learn more about the periodic table and I think that students will love it. The Periodic Table: Elements with Style! is a non-fiction science book about the periodic table. It mentions the groups within the elements, and gives multiple characteristics of the popular elements. This book would be great for middle school students, when starting to learn about the periodic table. The book has great illustration and is very easy to follow along. A fun summary and introduction to the elements of the periodic table. Features of almost all elements are defined by personality, strengths, weaknesses, color and other interesting facts. Each element is illustrated in a cartoony style that’s part Pokemon, part Hello Kitty. Definitely an unstuffy way to introduce the periodic table. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Web-style "homepages" introduce to budding chemists each of the chemical elements from the periodic table, complete with witty and informative profiles written by the elements themselves. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
