This is a version of an Aesop's fable, and teaches a lesson about kindness. ( ) This is a Beginning Early Reader book that tells the story of the Stork and the Fox and how when the Fox invites the Stork over to dinner he is not polite and serves her soup from a dish that she cannot eat from. In return the Stork invites Fox to her house for dinner and she does the same to him by serving him diner in a tall vase that he cannot eat out of. This book focuses on kindness and how what you do to others will reflect back on you at a later time. Good story for Beginning Readers. This book is about two friends that invite each other over for dinner. The fox first invites the stork over and has the soup in a flat dish which he knows that the stork cannot eat out of. The fox is selfish and wants all the soup for himself. The stork leaves hungry but is "nice" and invites the fox over for dinner the next day. When the fox comes over the stork has a long vase with soup that the fox cannot reach. The fox realizes how the stork felt when he ate all the soup himself. The story ends with the two eating out of their respective dishes. A classroom extension could be to have students create an invitation for a classmate for dinner like in the story and act out the story between them. Another could be to have students draw a picture of something else fox and stork could do together as friends. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
