Talk about flat characters! These were so flat and thin the wind could blow them off the page. I couldn't even get into the story so I can't even comment on that. boo ( ) I was very excited for this book after reading some reviews. I love scary stories. But alas I was disappointed. I would have liked this book more if I hadn't been expecting more creepy parts. There was so much build up and then it just stalled out. It seemed to focus more on the teen relationships than anything. So, overall it was a good book but don't expect a great horror story. It's a typical young adult book. A good thriller, though I didn't love the ending, as I didn't feel it resolved anything. Still, I kept reading and did want to know what would happen! The book reminded me a bit too much of the movie "Session 9" (which is mentioned in here!), but they are both set in the same real life place (Danvers State Hospital, near Boston), so maybe that was it. Still, teens running around in an abandoned mental institution in the middle of the night does indeed make for good scares! aucune critique | ajouter une critique
When six high school students sneak into an abandoned mental institution to make a film about their night there, they do not expect the inexplicable and terrifying events that keep occuring within the crumbling, maze-like building, causing them to question themselves and, ultimately, to make different choices about the course of their lives.
