I don't really enjoy reading poetry because it's some time tricky to readers. As one reader might get a different meaning than another. But in this book a poetry about winter and snow falling I loved the poem on page 15 "snow on the trees." When Jane Yolen said " somebody painted the trees last night.. white on white." She is saying "somebody" made the trees white with snow. That's creative and cute and she does this through out the book. I think kids would love this book also. ( ) This was a very interesting book about snow and the things you can do in the snow. The first thing I noticed about the book was that most of the words rhyme, which I think is something that children will pick up on too rather quickly. I love how the book describes what winter is and the things that we can do in the winter and in the snow. It gives a few different ideas on what to do, like snowboarding, and building a snowman. I think that this is a good book to read to children when learning about the different types of weather, and it helps children use their imagination if they have never seen or felt snow before. It is very descriptive and I think that that is very important when reading to children and helping them to understand the topic and to help them to use their imagination. This book is a collection of poems about winter. One thing that I really liked about this book was that it flowed very well. The first poem was about the end of fall, and then the author began writing poems about winter and the snow. The end of the book bridged winter and spring with a poem about how spring was on the way. Most of these poems were not too long, which I think makes them appropriate for elementary school students. I think reading about snow would be interesting to do in New Orleans because many students here have not experienced snow in real life. These poems would be a fun way to introduce students to a new topic and help them discover poetry at the same time. Snow, Snow is a poem book that contains only winter poems. Since winter is my favorite season, I automatically knew I would love this book. The poems were really good and they were easy to understand. I found it hard not to like any of the poems in the book. The illustrations were amazing and they were all photos captured by a photographer. If winter is your favorite season, you should definitely pick up this book. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
