This was a quick and delightful read. I read it in an hour. An older story repackaged with wonderful illustration for a new generation. I loved it. I light sweet magical tale as relevant today as it ever was. ( )

Beautifully written for reading-aloud and evoking the spirit of skipping (jump-rope). Are there children still who skip and believe in fairies? ( )

It took a long time to get to the climax--or really, any conflict--but that suited my audience: a homesick child trying to get to sleep. She liked it, but she likes fairies and skipping rope. I was bored until the skip-off. ( )
