Now with his latest book, The Shepherd, he tells the story of a young man''s journey and the teachings of a wise, old shepherd. Thus, we are quickly introduced to Yasser, a shepherd boy who was found bloodied and bruised at his parents'' house''s doorstep. With chapped lips, the little shepherd is only able to ask: Are the sheep well?   Just like that, the author takes us inside the rewarding but dangerous life of a shepherd. As he learns to care for his flock, the old man teaches him the secrets of the Shepherd''s Psalm.   Using the life of a sheep shepherd as an analogy, José Luis carefully contrasts the life of the church pastor with the life of the shepherd.
