This book was "recommended" reading for one of my courses, so I really didn't read much of it. However, I can say that it is a handy tool to have around, as it consists of easy, bite-size articles about the various theories used in the field of information behavior. Rather than having to go back and find the article(s) a theorist wrote, the vast majority of theories can be easily found in this one volume. This book also contains a handy index and an extensive bibliography at the end of each chapter. ( ) aucune critique | ajouter une critique
Appartient à la série
This unique book presents authoritative overviews of more than 70 conceptual frameworks for understanding how people seek, manage, share, and use information in different contexts. A practical and readable reference to both well-established and newly proposed theories of information behavior, the book includes contributions from 85 scholars from 10 countries. Each theory description covers origins, propositions, methodological implications, usage, links to related conceptual frameworks, and listings of authoritative primary and secondary references. The introductory chapters explain key concepts, theorymethod connections, and the process of theory development. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
