He was a skilled builder who could build nearly anything. This book can be used to teach volume by giving measurements to his buildings. His creations are several shapes giving students’ various shapes to find the volume of. ( ) This was a really cute little book that teaches that it's always possible to follow your dreams no matter how old you are. Iggy Peck loves to build. When he gets to second grade, his teacher makes it known that she hates tall buildings. Naturally, Iggy is crushed. However, a timely accident gives Iggy the opportunity to prove his metal, and his teacher is in for a lovely surprise. Great way to inspire young minds to never give up on their goals. Iggy Peck, Architect is another fun science narrative book for younger students. I liked in this book of Beaty's we get a bit of a background into the teacher Miss Greer. To be honest, when picking this book up I didn't know how much science would be in it but was surprised to find Iggy Peck was engineering like Rosie Revere only he was building structures. Again, I loved how it showed ordinary objects being used for engineering showing students you don't need anything fancy to do science. I think this would be a fun book to read during an engineering unit where you could build bridges. I liked how it showed the whole class working together to build a bridge and how at the end Miss Greer let Iggy Peck teach the class about his passion. I would use this book most likley 2-5th ish grade. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Ever since he was a baby, Iggy Peck has built towers, bridges, and buildings, which comes in handy when his second grade class is stranded on an island during a picnic. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
