This is the second in the Kane Chronicles series, which follow Sadie and Carter Kane, who descend from two lines of Egyptian pharaohs and are magicians. As in the first one, it is told as a transcription of a tape recording made by Carter and Sadie. Its exactly what I expected, having read the first in this series, and the Percy Jackson series. Smart banter between the teens, the appearances of several Egyptian gods, some embracing the modern world. Its a fun read with some good action points, and some snarky humor. Fans of the Percy Jackson series won't be disappointed in these turns with the Egyptian pantheon. ( ) Another action packed adventure from Uncle Rick. Sadie reminds me of Percy and I kept wondering while reading this "What if those two ever quested together?" I'm sure it would be a complete disaster. LOL. Going into this book I thought it was going to be the traditional transition piece that most middle novels of trilogies are and expected the end to be a cliffhanger that would force me to jump right into the last book immediately. It's not. There's more things to accomplish, sure. But it has a satisfactory ending for the part of the story that it tells aucune critique | ajouter une critique
