It was a sweet shifter romance with some intrigue.Cette critique a été écrite dans le cadre des Critiques en avant-première de LibraryThing. I actually really enjoyed this read, it was loving and sensual, disturbing and thrilling. Despite the seriousness of some of the content and what Sabrina and Walker went through, their growing relationship and how patient, possessive, and caring Walker was made it so your mood was never really brought down. I definitely recommend for anyone looking for an action-packed PNR with some ridiculously hot smut! Thank you to J.E. Mcdonald, Mystic Owl Publishing and LibraryThing for this ARC. I absolutely loved this book! It was the perfect mix of mates meets action and mystery! Cant wait to read more of the series! Cette critique a été écrite dans le cadre des Critiques en avant-première de LibraryThing. I absolutely loved Captive Wilderness which is the first novel in this series and I have been patiently waiting for Caged Fury to release so I could see what happened next.
Caged Fury is actually Sabrina's story. I thought this an excellent way of providing us, the reader a dual point of view. As Captive Wilderness saw what happened to Brooke when she escaped but not what happened to Sabrina when she wasn't so lucky. Caged Fury shows exactly that and it starts out on the plane with their capture. I absolutely loved this novel. I loved Walker, I loved Sabrina. The characters had marvellous traits and depth to them, just like the first novel the description was perfect, the adventure/action felt like I was there. I felt my anxiety heightening when Sabrina and Walker found themselves in a tight spot. I just absolutely loved it! I love how J E Mcdonald brings the reader into her world that she's created, the reader connects to the characters and they're relatable (without the shifting element). Another fantastic novel. I can't wait for the next one - I'm here for the long haul!. Cette critique a été écrite dans le cadre des Critiques en avant-première de LibraryThing. This is the second in the Goldenlach Ridge series. I appreciate how this begins with a slight recap of the first book in the series, Captive Wilderness. Then it takes on a life of its own with main characters, Walker and Sabrina. Throughout the book, the characters expose their own past stories that had aided them into becoming who they now are. The story of shifters being captured and exploited for the pleasure of people who are twisted and just too rich is fiction, of course, but may also ring some other bells in the nonfiction world. This is mostly a very serious, sometimes violent story but one that also contains it’s share of humor. My favorite was the brief episode with pizza and Sabrina’s enjoyment of it. I reread it – and several more times. It added a lightness which I appreciated in an otherwise dramatic story. Now meeting this second couple, I enjoyed learning about their relationships with the couple in the first book. The third book will probably tie them all together with the next couple and I look forward to reading it when it is available. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
