As well as reading it myself I have given it to a friend who is still a Childcare Practitioner and is Room Leader for a group of 2 to 3 year olds. Apparently the children love it! It is great for the repetition and the lovely illustrations. The emotional message is great and an important issue to be addressed for the age group. The only issue I have is that 'Daddy' does everything. There are children at the nursery who do not have a daddy, indeed some who attend from the local women's refuge. Perhaps a two part set with "Mummy Will Fix It" too would be a nice idea or a book with different people fixing things - including siblings and even nursery workers and nannies! Daddy Will Fix It by Cinarda Moore is a lovely and beautiful quick book. I love that the little girl depends on her daddy to help her fix things. I love that this book can help teach emotional and secure attachment, so they can feel comfort when unexpected things happen. And the illustrations? Beautiful 😍 Cette critique a été écrite dans le cadre des Critiques en avant-première de LibraryThing. Cinarda has brought a book which brought a smile not just on my kid's lips, but to mine as well. (I feel a proud Dad :) )The story is accompanied with large and captivating pictures (Rather, the pictures are accompanied with words which take the story forward); and teaches the kid not just vocabulary, but also optimism and compassion through positive redirection and affirmations. The sound repetitions will make it easier for the kids to remember and play along, while the adult (best if it's the proud Daddy :)) recites the rhyming lines. Ideal for kids under 5, they should gradually start recognizing the words and read the story themselves. So she calls her daddy for help. Daddy quickly steps in to fill her container and lets her play. The next day, she wants to cycle, but it’s broken. Again, daddy comes to the rescue. Then her toy runs out of battery. Of course, daddy is her go-to person. Daddy knows to fix it all.We picked this book for its lovely title. It talks about how a little girl believes her daddy can fix everything for her. The illustrations are cute and work really well with the storyline. Daddy Will Fix It by Cinarda Moore is a charmingly illustrated book about bonding between a little girl and her daddy. Thank you, Cinarda Moore and LibraryThing for the Early Reviewers giveaway.. Cette critique a été écrite dans le cadre des Critiques en avant-première de LibraryThing. I liked this book for several reasons. First, it was very colorful, drawing a child's interest immediately. Second, the book is easy to read (or better yet learning to read) because of the rhyming and short sentences on each page. Third, and most important, it teaches a child to go to her father when problems arise because he can fix them without being harsh or judgmental as he does so. Children need to feel loved and protected and reading this book with their father can enrich those feelings for them.At first, I did not like the word "injury", thinking it was too "big" a word for a toddler. Why not just say "cut"? The more I thought about it, I liked the word's use. Toddlers need to have their vocabulary widened to grow up with a good basis for communication. Thank you, Cinarda Moore and LibraryThing for the Early Reviewers giveaway. I will bring it with me next time I visit my grandchildren.
