Sage Cashman's sister suffers from a terrible illness and Sage will do anything to help her, including dancing at a gentleman's club to support the two of them. The owner of the club, Ryker Madsen, turns out to be more than Sage's boss. He's also involved with the drug company producing the experimental drug that might be Rosemary's only hope. This story was much more than I thought it would be. I was expecting a steamy beach read. While there was some steamy scenes, that not what this book is about at all. Rather I got a lot more character depth than I normally find in most books falling into this genre. Since I am all about great characters, you can just imagine my delight.

In addition to a great main character, the plot was good and seemed plausible. It made me wonder just how far I would go for a family member that is seriously ill.

I look forward to reading the next book in this series. I received a free copy, in exchange for my honest review. ( )

I won this in an Early Reviewers giveaway from LibraryThing & City Owl Press. This unfortunately didn't do it for me. The writing/plot felt rushed and unrealistic. The way the characters felt about others, vs how they spoke and acted toward them felt contradicting and confusing. I didn't feel connected to any of the characters and wasn't interested in the plot/story line. ( )

I really liked this story. Sage and Ryker meet when Sage applies for a job in Ryker’s strip club. She needs to get her sister an experimental drug for Her cancer and the way to do that is through Ryker. They strike a bargain, throw a little mystery in and it’s a sweet, cute story ( )
