"How far would you go to protect a secret? Fifteen year old Rachel has a secret that's crushing her. A secret that kills. But that becomes nothing comapred to the recurring nightmare about her own brutal murder which leaves impossible bruises on her neck. As if that wasn't horrifying enough, add the appearance of a malicious ghost of a teen girl. When the ghost warns that if her murder isn't solved by Homecoming, more people will die, Rachel realizes the only way to get back to her perfectly ordered life is to accept some help. But at what cost? They're all keepoing secrets. Daniel, the bestie computer nerd. Kyle, the hunky crush. Nisha, the smartest girl in school. Just about every resident of Danby Cove. The truth will always come out. With their assistance, Rachel will have to use every skill she's learned from her true crime podcasts to solve the cold case. To uncover secrets. But she begins to fear her own long held secret will finally unravel. Even if the cost is your life" -- Cover, page 4… (plus d'informations)

This book is such a page turner. The way that it was written and the mystery that it holds, author keeps the readers at the edge of the chair with the curiosity to know the substance of the story. Rachels story is well depicted. This is must read for mystery lovers. ( )

Special Note: I was given this ARC book for my own personal review.

Emmaline Rose writes very well. I like the characters and am pleased with how well they interact with one another. I feel sorry for Rachel as I think she's neglected by her overambitious parents. The nightmares certainly don't help and who wants to be stalked by a ghost in your dreams or see her when you're out and about with your friends? It's certainly out of the ordinary. She has some great friends who are more like family to her than her own family!

I think this book will be a good hit with the YA audience. I wouldn't mind reading more of Emmaline Rose's work, but I hope she branches out to adult fiction, so I won't feel weird about checking out YA books. ( )

This book is such a page turner for me. The way it was written never allows us to keep the book down. The crime, mystery and suspense keeps us on the edge. Totally I loved it.
