Great textbook on Macroeconomics. I would say this is a starter level text that would be great for someone just learning the larger concepts of economics. Each chapter had a focus, with good explanations, visuals, and questions to test one’s knowledge and understanding at the end. I felt that I was ready for the next level when I finished with this book. The authors did a great job of breaking the concepts down and explaining them so anyone could understand them. No college degree needed just to read this. I really liked it. ( )

The book gives definitions for macroeconomic components but doesn’t provide an understanding of these concepts. Numerous historical incidents could have been introduced to illustrate the successes and failures of macroeconomic element decisions. Understanding macroeconomics and business cycles is essential to making good investment and fiscal choices. I think the author and publisher of ‘Macroeconomics Essentials You Always Wanted to Know’ missed the needs of its readers. ( )

This book sets does what it sets out to do – provide a go-to reference source for Microeconomics. Concepts are clearly presented using examples, illustrated with tables and charts/graphs. ( )

It's one of those 'buy my more on-point book rather than a criminally priced text book'. Freshman to Sophomore level content. Totally worth. ( )

The book lives up to its title. The essentials of microeconomics are succinctly explained. More difficult material is supported by examples and graphs. The learning objectives are stated in each chapter. In addition, each chapter contains a summary and questions to check whether learning objectives have been achieved. Conclusion: content and structure of the book ensure that you as a reader get a good picture of microeconomics. ( )
