It leads you through a 30 day program of prayer to help you through difficult times. The author gives also gives personal accounts that showing her progress in her 30 day challenge and how this program helped her. Rather, it helps the reader develop their own devotional of sorts to focus on trusting God in times of trial. The author talks about their personal experience doing a 30-day challenge, discusses scriptures that support the reliance on God, and examines methods of prayer. But, in the end, the reader will need to develop their own 30-day challenge experience based on their personal needs and walk with God. Whether it be from a loss of income, taking a big test, going for a promotion, etc., we've suffered from it.As usual, those of us who are believers in the Lord have, and knowing He's also called the Great Physician, His answer to any situation we might have His book close at hand, in the Bible. In perusing it, we find the most significant information regarding worrying about our lives as Christians in MATTHEW 6:25-34 [NKJV] [25] Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? [26] Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? [27] Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? [28] "So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; [29] and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. [30] Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? [31] Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' [32] For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. [33] But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. [34] Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. As with anything else we desire as Christians, we know we're able to pray to our Lord to obtain it; we even get told about us being anxious in PHILIPPIANS 4:6 [NKJV] "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;" Naturally, all of this requires us to believe in the Lord's plan for each of us and be willing to put our trust in Him. We need to remember that PROVERBS 3:5-6 [NKJV] reminds us of the following: "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths." This is the essence I believe Ms. Thompson wants to impart to her readers as she shares her 30-day journey of discovery and experience by placing her trust in the hands of the Lord as she faces a multitude of challenges. She summarizes her experience in the description of the book: "Casting your cares can only make a difference when you know that God Almighty is the one receiving them. That is because God makes many promises to those who trust Him and depend on Him." For wanting to assist her readers out of their abyss by placing their trust in the Lord, I've given Ms. Thompson 5 STARS. I received a MOBI.file copy of this book from the author through a giveaway she had on LibraryThing; the above has been my honest opinion. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

This was my experience with the Cast your cares 30-day challenge. As the author shares, this work requires a commitment to Trust God and learn through spiritual disciplines to live a more diligently mature relationship where you replace stress and worry with Godly responses to living because of a deeper relationship with God.
The author clearly breaks down how to cast your care on God and understand the biblical scriptures behind it. The author prayerfully walks you through a biblical process to build your faith. When you are walking through something in your life, this is the kind of companion you need, one that will instruct you as you apply the process to that you are living simultaneously.
I liked the encouraging spiritual truths from the Bible, showing God to be a trustworthy, gentle compassionate, instructor because the life lessons are overwhelming for us – not God. The writer challenges the reader to face the fear of Loving God, Trusting God completely in the casting of cares. She reminds us, “Love and Trust go together".
This book is an encouragement for those who experience the paradox of walking by faith while holding on to care and concern. This 30-day challenge ends with hope. ( )
