Leuk om in Parijs te lezen over twee mannelijke filmsterren die verliefd worden op de set ( ) This almost became a DNF because I wasn’t feeling the beginning of this (and that lasted awhile), but I’m glad I stuck it out because it ended up being a lovely if angsty romance between Nicholas and Chris. The premise reminded me of a fave AU Sherlock fanfic from about ten years ago, and I ended up wanting to see where this story would lead. All the feels are very subdued here, so it’s hard to get a read on either of these guys (Chris shows a little more than Nicholas); it was best to just go with it all and see, and I did end up loving the end. Also this cover is so not right for the book as it’s too cutesy for what ends up being a rather not-light story; they could have just put one color and the Eiffel Tower covering it for the drama it needs. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
Lost novel of Bell Epoque Paris, The Throne, comes to the silver screen with an A-list cast. But will on-set drama doom the filming of this gay love story before it starts?
The novel The Throne, a lost gay love story of Bell Epoque Paris, will be coming to the silver screen. Actor Nicholas Madden's personal life is consistently a shambles, but he knows The Throne is going to be his legacy. Then his costar walks off the runway and into rehearsal: the role of a lifetime is about to be sunk by a total amateur. Chris Lavalle is out, has thousands of Instagram followers, and is certain that The Throne is his chance to prove he's more than just a pretty face: if only Nicholas wasn't a belligerent jerk. Eight weeks of filming bring Nicholas and Chris closer than the producers had dared to dream. Chemistry? So very much not a problem. But as The Throne gets set to wrap and real life comes calling, they will have to rewrite the ending of another love story: their own.-- adapted from back cover Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
