Eight-year-old Sophie is the youngest of three girls of a soon to be large family in the town of Yatesboro. Intrigue, mystery, and curiosity surround her as she connects with good friends and family, living in this small coal mining town in Western Pennsylvania in the Shwanee Valley. She is an eager, mischievous young girl with an insatiable appetite for friends and helping others. Her relationship with her siblings and her new-found parents helps her navigate the world in which she lives. She is intrigued with the stories told to her about the Shwanee Indian tribe that once inhabited the area, and loves her adventures through Numine with her friends. The narrative she learns of this small company town fascinates her, as she shares her knowledge of Rural Valley and Yatesboro in return. An obsession for a boy less fortunate than her, consumes her thoughts as she navigates life coming of age. An atrocious concern for his well being becomes intermixed with her friendships and decisions she makes. Sophie's desire to be well-liked supercedes what is best for her. Her high school years at Shannock Valley High School are years of new experiences intermixed with devilment, troubles, and love come and gone. Through her journey, she encounters murder, mystery, tragedy, evil, and love. Her determination culminates with a mystery solved, her desires met, and lives coming together. Sophie's indominable spirit and her unwavering loyalty to her friends and family helped spin the tales of life lived in the Shwanee Valley. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
