Nevertheless, it was a good time. The characters were all in, enthusiastic, and unapologetic about it, which added a fun element. I appreciate the main character's unabashed embrace of her desires and preferences. Wasn't planning to read the next one, but the cliffhanger was good! This was overall a great book and retelling. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 was because it didn’t call to my soul. Vane surprised me and may be my favorite we will see if the next book is just as good if not better (
