This a fun summer beach read with all the necessities: light and easy read, page-turning, sexy and fun novel. This is part of a series which has similar characters but can be read as a stand-alone.

The novel’s setting is the beach town of Avalon Bay in North Carolina where affluent people stay to escape for the summer from the chaos of their busy city lives. In book 1, we met Cooper and Mackenzie and this novel focuses on Cooper’s twin brother, Evan Hartley.

Genevieve West returns to Avalon Bay after her mother dies from pancreatic cancer. She agrees to help her father runs the business until he can find someone to fill in. Because she had a reputation as a wild child growing up she attempts to prove that she is no longer that same careless teen. In her efforts to avoid her irresistible ex-boyfriend, Evan Hartley, Gen dates police officer, Harrison. Genevieve soon finds that Evan might not be the careless person she remembered and misses the friendship they had as kids when his father died. Cooper Hartley and Mackenzie Cabot from book 1 make an appearance. Will Gen be able to date Harrison and avoid temptation from her old friend, Trina back in her drinking and partying days? ( )

I did not read the first book in this series before reading Bad Girl Reputation but I will definitely add Good Girl Complex (book #1) and The Summer Girl (book #3) to my TBR. This was a quick read and a fun romance novel, I love Gen and Evan's on again, off again relationship and that they both recognize that they were toxic for each other in the past.

Lee Samuels and Summer Morton did a great job with the narration of this audiobook. I have listened to Summer Morton's narration before and I will continue to look for books narrated by her in the future. ( )

Writing: Good, Direct and unconvoluted.
Forward Motion: Good. No lulls or filler
Overall Interest: Good. I liked it but I admit I didn’t love it. I think I didn’t really bond with the characters.
Length of Reading Time: Good.
Re-read-ability: No, I’m not even sure I’ll return to the series. I don’t feel passionately about it. ( )
