I didn't care for the writing style which was heavy in telling, not showing. The cadence and flow of the sentences and paragraphs was choppy.Cette critique a été écrite dans le cadre des Critiques en avant-première de LibraryThing. Disclaimer: I received this book for free from LibraryThing in return for an honest review. Simina is a poor girl living in a small village who loves to read. One day she discovers a book called The Dark Prince of Lazera. It claims to tell the true story of an evil prince who possesses dark magic. She does not believe he is real until one fateful encounter that changes her life. This book is reminiscent of Beauty and the Beast. I personally did not enjoy this book. I found it hard to get into and I felt like the author introduced plot points only to never mention them again. The relationships felt very one dimensional and I wish there was more world building. Cette critique a été écrite dans le cadre des Critiques en avant-première de LibraryThing. Simina goes to the library to choose a new book to read. She takes the dark prince of Lazera. A book that starts with a beware, warning to not be fooled by him and the evil magic he has. Later on, her way to her aunt's house, her carriage crashes and she falls out on the snow. Nar saves her and brings her back to his castle. At first she fears him due to the book she read about him because Nar is the prince of Lazera. She then steals his horse and is arrested for stealing his horse, he puts her to clean the castle. They start to exchange looks and fall for each other. When he leaves one, he gives her a rose that is tied to him. If it a petal falls, it means he is hurt or dying. Throughout the story it gave some beauty and the beast vibes, which I love. There are people conspiring and drama, but it all ends in a happy ending. I truly enjoyed reading this. I loved it. This book does start out a little bit on the strange side and maybe a little hard to get into at first But stick with it! It ends up being a great story. I would suggest that the author to have someone check the grammar. other than that the book is a very good read and will be read again. Cette critique a été écrite dans le cadre des Critiques en avant-première de LibraryThing. This fairy tale starts out strangely and is a little hard to follow at first. But stick with it! It ends up being a great story. It is reminiscent of some of the classic fairy tales like Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella. It has it's own twists and intrigue and well worth the read. The only advice I would give the author is to have someone check the grammar. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
