Absolutely loved this return to see what Rachel is up to and the layers of storytelling. ( )

A good read and interesting presentation of the lives of people living with and trying to get out from under addictions. Also a moving presentation of living with the death of a baby and how long the impact can be. ( )

Rachel's Holiday is one of my most beloved books, in fact I consider it a classic. I was filled with no small amount of trepidation when I realized there would be "Again, Rachel" set in the future, but I should not have worried. Reading this book was like meeting an old friend and just spending the loveliest weekend catching up. It was delightful! So soothing seeing the usual suspects and their growth and trajectories. Rachel is in a different headspace from RH but so am I, and maybe that is why I am able to relate to both books and their differences.

Excellent follow-on from Rachel’s Holiday (which in turn is my favourite chick-lit book). Back in Ireland, marriage with Luke over, Rachel is living happy with a nice boyfriend, a satisfying job as senior therapist at the very same rehab she once attended - until Luke returns to her life. Fabulous insight into addiction cycles, along with side-splitting encounters with life and the Walshfamily, I can fully recommend it. ( )
