This is a very fun book that I recommend using with lessons focusing on letter sounds and phonemic awareness. This silly story is about a young girl who gets a little tongue tied which gets her into some trouble. I think young students (k-3) would have a lot of fun with this and would enjoy coming up with their own tongue tied sentences. ( ) Lulu had a an uh-oh with her homework. It was in a big mish-mash. And she opened a word warp. Everyone who talked with her got pulled in as well, and spoke with a hilarious twist of rhymes and word choice. It is best to practice reading this book a few times before reading it aloud to a class. The tongue twisters will get you! Grade: Primary/Intermediate This is a fabulous book for children, especially if they love saying silly words! I used to love this book myself when I was younger. My mother and I would say all of the silly words on the word warp as fast as we could and laugh at ourselves. The author is really creative and uses language that allows children to use their imagination and have fun with. He uses his own made-up vocabulary to really engage the reader in the story. For example hyphenated words such as “rink-a-dink-a-doo”, “Eeeka-freaka”, and “lippity-loppity”. I also think it was really nice that the story contains a lot of word bubbles. This will introduce kids to dialogue at an early age. The overall big idea was not clear to me, though it does demonstrate problem solving in an unrealistic matter. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

It's an ordinary morning in Walla Walla until Lulu, her teacher, the school nurse, and the principal are all infected by a word warp which makes them reduplicate everything they say. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
